2017-18 Home-to-School and School-to-Home bus route information will be finalized in early August. Beginning this year, we are implementing online communication of bus route information through the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus, our student data management system. This initiative is underway in an effort to safeguard student information, provide real-time updates in Home-to-School and School-to-Home routes, increase operational efficiency, and eliminate costly paper mailings. Accessing route information is simple and convenient, and can be accomplished by following these instructions.
It is anticipated that access to bus route information will be available in the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus no later than Friday, August 11th. A separate Bears Backpack notification will be sent to parents/guardians alerting them to the availability of bus route information when it is completed.
Parents/guardians of students without Parent Portal accounts will receive a separate communication providing initial login credentials within the next two weeks. Here is a sample letter of that communication. If you have not received your initial login credentials by Friday, August 11th, please contact the appropriate building registrar listed below:
John F. Kennedy Elementary School (845) 279-2087
C.V. Starr Intermediate School (845) 279-4018
Wells Middle School (845) 279-3702
Brewster High School (845) 279-5051
We recognize that parents/guardians of incoming Kindergarten students may not be familiar with the Parent Portal, so we will communicate through a traditional mailing in addition to making
bus route information available through the Parent Portal. It is anticipated that this mailing will be delivered no later than Friday, August 11th.
Paper copies of bus route information can be obtained by visiting the Transportation Office during normal business hours. Requests for daycare transportation forms can be obtained by visiting our website at: www.brewsterschools.org/transportation or by visiting the Transportation Office.
We appreciate your cooperation as we implement this enhancement to our transportation system. And as an annual reminder, please understand that actual pick-up and drop-off times tend to lag behind the scheduled times during the first few weeks of school. We kindly ask that you arrive early and be prepared and patient if buses are late. As students become more familiar with the arrival and dismissal routines, actual pick-up and drop-off times begin to normalize with scheduled times.

Supervisor of Transportation
