Students and faculty receive recognition at Board of Ed meeting

At last month's Board of Education meeting, a number of students and faculty members were recognized for their accomplishments:
Robert Yost, an active member of the Putnam County Retired Teachers Association, presented awards to five high school students enrolled at the Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES for their exemplary work. Receiving accolades were Jose Recinos, Carlos Nunez, Walter Fontnel, Nicholas Bersito and Mark Flanagan.
BHS student Jordan Cirocco and HH Wells 8th grader Annie Hitchcock were recognized for representing the school district as two of Putnam County's outstanding volunteers.
Three teacher-coaches were named as Coaches of the Year for their leadership skills. Receiving the honor was Brittany Hunter, Tom Looby and Doris Schukin.
