Technology
At C.V. Starr we have seven wireless computer labs that can move from room to room so that technology can be integrated into learning experiences. We have specific areas within each curriculum in which all students will have access to technology and will learn specific skills that will both enhance their understanding of the content and also advance their knowledge, understanding and practice with technology skills.
Within our Library program, students learn to how to use the Accelerated Reader Program. After reading a book that is included in this program, and there are hundreds, students take an online quiz and receive points for correct answers. As they accumulate points at various levels, we recognize their efforts with Accelerated Reader medals and a school-wide announcement.
All teachers have web pages where information is shared. When you receive your child's placement over the summer, you can go to your child's homeroom teacher's web page to find a welcome/introduction letter as well as a listing of the supplies your child will need in September.
