Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy & Security

The Brewster Central School District is committed to protecting student data, and we would like to remind you to review the Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy and Security posted on our website.  The Bill of Rights contains important information regarding confidentiality and security of student data.

In addition, the District is now using Education Frameworks to help ensure that the software and websites our students use are compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), FERPA, and other student data privacy regulations. We are committed to making sure our vendors are as rigorous in protecting your child’s data as we are.  Check out New York State’s new regulations around Data Privacy and Security.
