JUNIOR GROUP GUIDANCE SESSIONS

There will be Junior Group Guidance Sessions this week: today through Thursday, March 21st, from Periods 2 through 6 (with an additional session on Friday, March 22nd, Period 6). The counselors will be discussing course selection and electives. Please check the board and television outside Guidance for your scheduled date and time.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE DUE IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE NO LATER THAN, MONDAY, APRIL 22nd.

BLOOD DRIVE RESULTS!!

Brewster students, staff, and parents heard the urgent need for blood, and came out in force for our Spring Blood Drive! Another record broke on Thursday, as 116 donors registered, and a grand total of 89 pints were received by the N.Y. Blood Center. Heartfelt thanks to all who came to give the precious gift of life, and also to our N.H.S. Volunteers, who help make our Spring Drive an overwhelming success!

SEMPER FI

Attention BHS Semper Fi students: There will be a meeting on Wednesday, March 20, in room 205. There is much planning to do for end of year and for the many events we are going to do NEXT YEAR!!! The Travis Manion Foundation Community Service Project is a MUST! Let’s DO THIS!!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Attention BHS Habitat for Humanity members: There is a MANDATORY MEETING on Thursday, March 21 in room 205. If you missed last week’s meeting, please see Mr. Gallacher or a Habitat officer for your Habitat Against Cancer Tee Shirt Order Form! We will be ordering by Friday March 22!!!

YOUTH FORUM

Come to the Putnam County Youth Forum on Tuesday April 9.  The Youth Forum is a free,day long event for areas high school students, organized by students.  Attend workshops including survival skills, healthy living and other teen issues. Lunch is provided. Permission slips can be picked up in the Guidance office. Only 30 slots available for BHS students…Permission slip are due March 22.  See Mrs. Lodge or Emily Rusinko for more information.

MAMMA MIA

BHS’S SPRING MUSICAL, “MAMMA MIA” , Thursday, March 21 and Friday, March 22 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, March 23 at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets are now available online by clicking the link. This is one show you do not want to miss!

SCIENCE HONOR SOCIETY


Science Honor Society “Recycle Roundup” is posted in the Google Classroom. Please sign up for Mondays or Thursdays. We will meet in room 257. Please see Mr. Kilroy or Ms. Bald if you have any questions.

Teachers, please leave your Blue Recycle Bins outside your classrooms on Mondays and Thursdays for recycling. If possible, please obtain a copy-room cardboard box to store bottles in. If you need a blue recycle bin then please email Mr. Kilroy or Ms. Bald.

Do you like to write, draw, take photos? If you answered yes to any or all, please submit your work to URSUS. We accept photos, writing, drawings, paintings! Share your work with Mrs. Fine, Ms. McTigue, any URSUS member, or email to showursuslove2016@gmail.com. Trust your work will be anonymously discussed, but include your full name when submitting.
