BCSD Welcomes NYSUT President Melinda Person For District Visit

Brewster Central School District welcomed NYSUT President Melinda Person on Friday for a tour of the district. BTA President Paul George and District Administrators guided Person and her team through several buildings, highlighting many of the district’s points of pride. During the visit, President Person toured classrooms, viewed Capital Project improvements, and engaged in meaningful conversations with teachers and building administrators about the new art pathway, the importance of recess and play, and student well-being. She also had the opportunity to speak directly with students about the P-TECH and NJROTC pathways at Brewster High School, and learned more about programs including Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Career Skills. The tour concluded with a walk through JFK Elementary and a stop at the Sensory Bus. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase Brewster.
