First Day of School Goes Off Without A Hitch

On Brewster’s first day back to school for the 2024-2025 school year, expectations abound.  Students arrived to find lots of exciting developments around the district: a new superintendent, Dr. Michelle Gosh; 22 new teachers; three new principals; new pre-K and carpentry classrooms; a new turf field, a new sensory bus and a new class of p-tech students at Brewster High School. The day itself went off without a hitch–students made their way to their new classrooms, met their new teachers and classmates, participated in icebreaker activities, and learned the rules of their new classrooms. It was a smooth start to what promises to be a great school year.

Two young children stand together outside a building, smiling. One wears a floral dress with a name tag, the other a space-themed shirt.
Three boys stand in front of a yellow school bus, wearing casual outfits with backpacks, surrounded by students in a school setting.
Four girls stand side by side, each wearing colorful backpacks featuring popular characters, in front of a school building.
