First Ever BCSD String-a-Palooza!

First Ever BCSD String-a-Palooza!

A Celebration of the Orchestra Program and a Magical Night

On Monday, February 9th, 308 musicians and their families descended on the Brewster Performing Arts Center for the first String-a-Palooza 2026. The night was a celebration of the orchestra program in the Brewster CSD in grades 4-12. The concert included the music of Vivaldi, Pachelbel, and even Led Zeppelin. Teachers Kim Orwick, Hideo Schwartz, and Angela Gullo spent months (and an all day rehearsal on Monday) preparing their students for this massive undertaking. The goal of this event is to foster a broader sense of musical community across buildings, showing older students how far they have come, and younger students where they will go if they continue participating in the performing arts. It was a magical evening of performances for students, parents, administrators, and the Brewster Community.
