Kids Heart Challenge Record!

Kids Heart Challenge Record!

JFK Elementary Raised $21,450 for American Heart Association

We are thrilled to announce that this year, JFK School has achieved a truly remarkable milestone. Together, students raised a total of $21,450 for the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge—the highest amount in the school’s history!

Throughout this challenge, students have shown incredible dedication, not only by fundraising to help others but also by taking the time to learn how to care for their own heart health.

To celebrate this record-breaking success, JFK held their annual “Pie the Coach” event this morning. The top 3 fundraisers from each grade level had the honor of pieing the JFK PE coaches.

JFK students gathered outside the school to watch the ritual pieing. At the front of the crowd holding whip cream filled pie tins were: Olivia Pastrano, Aaron Haynes, Jackson Bourquin, Giavanna Dioguardi, Holden Jackson, Ophelia Drivas, Aubrey Schmitz, Ryder Bourquin, and Leo Tabisel–the top fundraisers for each grade.

“I raised the money because I like to be kind,” said Olivia Pastrano.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart,” said Cara Donohoe from the American Heart Association who stood by and cheered on students.

On the count of three, students pied their coaches. The crowd went crazy.

“Thank you all for your continued support in making this year’s challenge such a resounding success,” said P.E. teacher Jennifer Purcell.
