Meet the 4 School Resource Officers at BCSD

Brewster Central School District has three newly assigned School Resource Officers or SROs: Deputy Chris Goodman at Brewster High School; Deputy Shawn Iarussi-who had been at C.V. Starr Intermediate–at H.H. Wells Middle School; and Deputy Paul Maglietta at C.V. Starr Intermediate. Deputy Byran Suppa, who has been at JFK Elementary School for four years, will continue in that position.

The officers are all trained and sworn members of the Putnam Sheriff's Department, which ensures that someone who is directly connected to the police department is on-site in case of an emergency. 

All of the officers have extensive experience in law enforcement and are looking forward to working closely with school administrators in an effort to create a safe building environment at each of the schools. 

BCSD is thrilled to have these members of the Putnam Sheriff's Department on site as we are committed to maintaining the highest levels of safety and promoting safe learning environments.
