District and Board Goals

District Goals 2025-2026

1. Belonging and Safety:

  • During the 2025-26 school year, the District will continue to focus on student belonging (as assessed by the climate and culture surveys and other measures) and leverage the expertise of local and regional resources to continually evaluate and refine our physical and procedural safety protocols.

2. Capital Project:

  • During the 2025-26 school year, the District will continue to engage in phase II of our capital project, focusing on:
  1. C.V. Starr Cafetorium
  2. BHS Field House, Fitness Center & Student Experiences (STEM Lab, NJROTC) Renovations

3. Improve Student Learning:

  • Curriculum: During the 2025-26 school year, the District will continue the development and refinement of common rigorous curriculum with a focus on disciplinary literacy practices.

  • Instruction: During the 2025-26 school year, the District will identify, communicate, and reinforce a common understanding of highly effective instructional practices.

4. Ongoing Support and Staff Development

  • During the 2025-26 school year, the District will continue to strengthen its robust teacher and administrator mentorship programs, supporting both teacher and administrative development. 

  • During the 2025-26 school year, the District will utilize the results of the culture and climate survey to further investigate areas of improvement and work to provide support and improvement.

Board Goals 2025-2026

1.  The Board will support and monitor the achievement of the District goals.

2.  The Board will continue to support the initiatives of Vision 2026 and monitor the District’s performance thereunder, and will support the development of Vision 2030.

3. The Board will continue to engage with the community to convey and promote the District’s initiatives and further its understanding of the community’s needs, concerns, and expectations, including through outreach to our elected officials.

4. The Board Trustees will each engage in professional learning to better understand and implement best practices for effective board service.

5. The Board will encourage student voice through our ex officio student Board members.
