Dear Fifth Grade Students and Families, 

Welcome to fifth grade!  We are looking forward to teaching you many new challenging, and exciting activities and topics this year!  

In Science, we will be exploring and building different projects in the Project Lead the Way units.  In Math, we will be continuing place value, multiplication and division, area and fractions. We will also be exploring decimals, volume and coordinate geometry.  In Social Studies, we will learn about geography, government, ancient civilizations and cultures of the western hemisphere. As for ELA, we will continue working with the Teacherś College Reading and Writing Project, exploring both narrative and informational genres.
