About the Brewster Central School District
The Brewster Central School District serves approximately 3,000 students, all of whom are housed in one of four different school buildings. There is one primary school – John F. Kennedy Elementary School, one intermediate school – C.V. Starr Intermediate School, one middle school – Henry H. Wells Middle School, and one high school – Brewster High School. Brewster has earned a reputation as a nationally recognized, high performing school system with students who consistently perform at or above the levels of districts with similar demographic and economic profiles.

Brewster Vision 2026
The purpose of the Brewster Vision 2026 roadmap is to identify the values, mission, and goals that will guide our academic programming, our support services, the selection and retention of a high-quality, diverse workforce, and our continuing involvement with our families and the community. We have engaged Cambridge Strategic Services to facilitate an objective and reflective process.
The Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Michelle Gosh believe that involving the community in this important work is absolutely crucial to its success. In an effort to be as transparent as possible, we will post progress and regular updates of our work throughout the year on our Brewster Vision 2026 web page.
Strategic Coherence Plan 2016 – 2021: Mission, Focus and Constancy of Purpose
In November 2015, the Brewster Central School District convened a Strategic Coherence Planning team consisting of key staff members, Board of Education members, and a diverse group of community representatives to create a Strategic Coherence Plan that will ensure that all Brewster students graduate ready to solve problems, communicate and collaborate effectively and think critically, they need to be taught in ways that support those skills and that all students and adults in the system need to be accountable for those performances.
