• Superintendent of Schools

    Dr. Bandlow has earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylavania, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Science from the State University of New York at New Paltz, a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey and her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. 

    Dr. Bandlow served as the Superintendent of Schools in the Paulsboro Public Schools in New Jersey from 2015-2019. Her prior positions as an educator include Elementary School Teacher, Middle School Teacher, Vice Principal, Elementary School Principal, Middle School Principal and Parent Academy Director.  Dr. Bandlow started her career in the Hudson Valley of New York and is honored to be back home!

    Board Goals 2020-2021

    • Expand Community Relations
      • "Board Corner" in the District newsletter; Increase the Board's social media presence; Include Board related questions in District surveys; Further connect with our ENL/ESL parents; Find new ways to inform all members of our community who the BOE is and what we do and encourage involvement.

    • Support all employees of the District by increasing supportive and encouraging communication and, when possible, physical presence in the schools.

    • Engage in promoting a District-wide culture in the schools that embraces and implements equity practices for all students by supporting the efforts of the Superintendent and participating in Board trainings.


    District Goals 2020-2021

    • Goal One:  Continuity of health, safety and instruction during a pandemic
      • Quarterly feedback of the existing hybrid/remote model from:
        • Teachers
        • Staff
        • Students
        • Parents

      • Agile learning models that are able to pivot with the conditions
      • Ongoing professional learning for varied levels of adult efficacy in the hybrid/all-remote models
      • Ongoing support of new educators (teachers and administrators) in the form of professional learning sessions and various opportunities for dialogue
      • Ongoing communication with school physician and Department of Health

    • Goal Two:  Creating a culture and climate of equity in the BCSD in which all students feel welcome, appreciated and as though they belong
      • All administrators will be trained in the Culturally Responsive Sustaining Education practices model
      • The District will engage in a root cause analysis process facilitated by the Metro Center for Equity and Transformation of Schools at NYU
      • The development of a strategic plan pertaining to equity

    • Goal Three:  Brewster Vision 2025
      • Initiate a long-term planning process that will serve as a roadmap for the next five years in the areas of facilities, human resources, equity (NYU), finance, social-emotional learning, etc.
      • Complete SCP evaluation to fold into Vision 2025 as the Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment focus
