BHS Performing Arts Wins Big @ The Metros

BHS performing arts students were a force at this week’s Metro Awards. 

The Metro Awards shine a spotlight on the exceptional musical theater productions, talented actors and actresses and devoted creative teams who take to the stage every spring in high schools in Rockland, Westchester, Putnam and Bergen counties.

For their production of “Anything Goes,” BHS students were nominated for 9 major awards including Best Overall Production. It is the first time in twenty years they were nominated for so many awards. The winners include:

 

Ivelisse Arocho for BEST COMEDIC ACTRESS

Ivelisse Arocho and Tessa Boissonnault won BEST DUET for their performance of "Friendship"

Nikki Sanders Siriani (Director/Choreographer) for BEST CHOREOGRAPHY

Ariana Arocho for BEST FEMALE VOCALIST for her role in Archbishop Stepinack's production of "Catch Me if You Can"

 

The full company was featured and performed "Anything Goes" and there were separate performances by Jacob Caraballo, Ive Arocho, Ariana Arocho and Tessa Boissonnault. It was a night to remember.
