  • Goals

    1. Students will demonstrate the ability to respond to a text by employing personal experiences and or critical analysis.
    2. Students will demonstrate the ability to compose in a variety of modes by developing content, employing specific forms and selecting language appropriate for a particular audience and purpose.
    3. Students will demonstrate the ability to control language by applying the conventions of Standard English both in writing and speaking.
    4. Students will demonstrate the ability to evaluate the content, organization and language use of texts; as well as, use textual evidence to support answers.
    5. Students will successfully engage in student-to-student high quality discussions that promote both critical thought and help engage students in the learning process.
